Hey everyone! Lets get down to business!!! We have just debuted a brand spanking new music video for "Children Of The Future"!!! Thats right people, a new video has come down from the heavens and we think it may be our best one yet! Let us know what you think and contact YouTube to feature this sucker.

With that said, we would like to enlist your help. Not only is this a just and noble cause, it could also be the reason Maldroid gets to grace the stage at the Rock The Vote Ballot Bash.

We just found out that we are tied at #1 in the nation for most registered voters and the winner gets to play the Ballot Bash in Denver! Let's not lose this momentum!

Hey now everyone!!! The time is ticking down for the most important Rock ’n’ Roll album in recent memory. "Chinese Democracy", you say? No, silly! The debut full length record from Yours Truly!!! That’s right people, 13 tracks of earth shattering Rock ’n’ Roll! Are you ready to soak it in? Remember peeps, this bad ass piece of history hits the streets April 15th!!! But, if you can’t wait (and we know you can’t), you can pre-order it RIGHT HERE!!!

Do yourself a favor and buy 2. One to open and listen to and the other to keep wrapped in plastic for posterity (like those Star Wars figures in your closet). Consider yourselves warned!!!

Ye Olde Record Release Party (we are crossing our fingers they will be delivered by then) will be this Friday, April 4th at our gin joint away from home, The Stork Club, in Oakland. We will be playing along with the kings of indie-funk-grease bay-dance, Wallpaper. Spinning some classic jams will be Maldroid’s own Prince J. This show will be packed because not only is it our record release party and great bands/DJs are playing but it’s also First Friday and FREE!!! And, let’s not forget the drinks are the cheapest in town!!!

A big THANK YOU goes out to The Phenomenauts for not only taking us out on our first tour (more dates to be announced soon, we promise!) but for having us play their SOLD OUT CD release party at Slim’s last Saturday! Talk about an ass kicking good time! Each band played their hearts out. The Phenomenauts had an intro that may never be topped! The Lovemakers were their sexy and sweaty selves! King Kukulele managed to warm up even the coldest heart and Vic Ruggiero from the Slackers managed to surprise the crowd with an unannounced, last minute solo set! Overall an amazing time!!!

Hello peeps! Welcome to another week of "You Wanna Read It". We have been counting down the days til our nationwide tour begins.

The Droid can’t wait to entertain you! The take over begins soon. First the country, then the world, and dare we say the universe? To see a preview of the Phenomenauts/Maldroid One-Two punch, please make sure to come out to the big show at Slim’s this Saturday!!! This one will sell out so make sure to pick up your presales!!!

After this one, make sure to come out April 4th as we present our final Bay Area show at The Stork Club before we hit the road.

We would also like to wish a very happy birthday to the HDIC (Head Droid In Charge), Ryan Divine. His birthday was this past Friday, March 21st. This week we see two droids celebrate their birthday on Wednesday, March 26th. Happy birthday Seandroid and Senor Hugo!

Hello everyone!

As you can see, we don't have any shows for a couple weeks. However, don't think we aren't busting our finely dressed asses, cause we are!!! The full length is mixed and mastered. The artwork has been completed. The i's have been dotted and the t's crossed. The bad mama jamma is being printed up as we speak!!!!! April 15th, people. The wait is over. Rock and Roll will be changed forever!!!!

Here's a news brief on the subject...

2 big shows loom on the horizon. On March 22nd, at Betty's (Walnut Creek) we will be playing with our homies Scissors for Lefty and Hot Tub!!! Get there early as this show will be packed.

Helloooooooooo everyone! Welcome to another week of everything Maldroid.

This past week saw us headline the historic Great American Music Hall. We would like to thank each and everyone who braved the elements in search of rock and roll. You were not disappointed!!!! A special fuck you goes to the mark ass buster who stole several copies of "Oakland Lads Club" and "Nevermind" from our merch stand!!! What type of person steals from us after we just announce our sob story during our set? Oh well. At least these copies will fall in the hands of people who want them! Hell if our CDs are good enough to steal then they must be good. I never heard of anyone stealing Fall Out Boy CDs!!!

Our next show is quite the big one. It will be in support of our brothers, The Phenomenauts, as they celebrate their CD release with a party at Slim's on March 29th!!!! We have heard the final product and all we have to say is: WOW!!! These guys have been kicking ass for some time and they are taking it up a notch y'all. It will be one of our last shows before we embark on our 5 week journey across the nation with the P-nauts and The AKAs. Talk about a kick ass tour! Just thinking about it makes you sweat.

On a side note: It has been very impressive how people all around the nation have been begging us to play their town. However, one must remember we have no control where and when we play on this tour. The Phenomenauts were gracious enough to invite us out and it is down to them and their awesome booking agent. We are there for support and of course history changing rock and roll. We hope we can cover all the requested bases on this tour, but if not we will make sure to hit you up on the next one!!!

Another busy, busy week for Maldroid! Friday saw us playing two shows! One for our peeps at YouTube to break in their new digs in San Bruno and then the support slot for our little brothers Panda at Bottom of The Hill. For all those who showed up to rock out, thank you!!!

Now the main topic is this Thursday’s “Nevermind” Record Release show at the historic Great Amercian Hall with yours truly, The Ian Fays and The Rooftop Vigil. This show will be hot y’all and you better be there because Maldroid will be bringing their A game. Besides, Thursday is the new Friday! Haven’t you heard? Well, if you don’t know, now you know.

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new edition of "You Wanna Read It". We apologize for the lack of updates but we have been busy recovering from the van jacking. As you can tell we have not skipped a beat and have already rebounded to working order. Although our killer vintage equipment can never be replaced, we realize we have a duty to entertain y'all.

A huge thanks of course go to you and your generous donations to the band. Due to your unparalleled kindness, we could afford a brand new back window for the van! Thank you everyone, you have no idea how much you mean to us! Your gifts will be in the mail shortly, just have patience.

This Friday (Feb 15th) Maldroid will be playing with the uber cool Panda (our lil brothers) for their long awaited CD release party at Bottom Of The Hill! If you haven't caught these cats you are missing out. As far as we are concerned they deserve the same amount attention as we get. These guys can mop the floor with anyone. Rounding out the show will be Scene of Action and Lia Rose.

WE'VE BEEN ROBBED!!!

Today marks a sad day in the life of Maldroid. We have been robbed.

Yesterday morning we found ourselves victims of a terrible crime that would normally cripple bands consisting of mere mortals. Fortunately that’s not the case here as we will overcome this minor obstacle and prevail. THE SHOW WILL GO ON!!!

That’s not to say we are underestimating the damage this has done to us and may continue to do in the future. With that being said we are providing a list of what was stolen so that you, the man on the street, can keep an eye out and an ear open (we’re looking at you East Bay peeps!). If you see or hear anything, please call your local police and/or Justin at (530) 400-7196.

In addition, since we know that most of you guys have in one way or another gotten our tunes for free, you can help ease your conscience by sending what little you may have to what little we have left. We need to replace many of these items very soon in order to keep kicking out the jams!

Hello Kids! Another week another huge day of news! On the top of the list new album "Nevermind" is up for sale on Fuzz and Myspace. Itunes will follow shortly and hard copies are being pre-ordered at http://maldroid.bigcartel.com/ as we speak! Pick one up now and remember the countdown has begun on the history making full length!!! A select few(people who wear brown jackets) have heard it and good god does it kick ass!!! Johnny Genius said it best "Ok what do we do to get a grammy nod on this one? Shits hot!". We agree to the tee!

In show news we got a big one this week. On Friday Jan 25th Maldroid will be headlining the Official Launch party for the 10th annual San Francisco Film Festival. Rounding out the bill will be the legendary two tone ska heroes the Uptones and indie darlings/good friends The May Fire. Do yourself a favor and go to this bash. Should be great time to be had and your hipster points will be raised to a level 10. Thats fucking high in World Of Warcraft talk. Not like we would know or anything.Anyway just go.

This week also marks the wheels of motion on two new videos! Yeah two new videos! The songs? Rock N Roll and This is Amercia. The concepts? Wouldn't you like to know. In classic Maldroid fashion they will blow your mind. Expect to see these suckers drop during the epic release of the full length.

A big thank you goes out to BYO Records for featuring us on an exclusive "Punk Rock Bowling" compilation that was handed out at the 10th annual "Punk Rock Bowling" event in Las Vegas. "Heck No" was featured along side such greats as NOFX, Youth Brigade, Manic Hispanic, The Adolescents, The Briefs, and More. Although we did not get to enjoy the free drinks and sexy punk rock chicks we at least got be there in spirit. Yeah.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to another week of "You Wanna Read It'!!!! Right off the bat we got big news for y'all. Debuting on Monday, January 21st will be our second release, "NEVERMIND"!!! It will feature brand new versions of "He Said She Said" and "You Can Have It All" plus exclusive remixes by Divine Genius and DJ AMP LIVE!!!! It will be available at ITUNES, Fuzz, Myspace, Interpunk and of course the MALDROID online store(http://maldroid.bigcartel.com/). Make sure to pick up a copy because these remixes will not be found anywhere else. Remember people once "NEVERMIND" drops the clock begins to tick on the big full length!!!!!

Our tour of destruction on the beautiful city of San Francisco has been going well! In fact this week we decend on a new venue to rock to the ground. On Saturday, January 19th we will be playing Fat City with The May Fire, French Miami, and Astral Heights. The show starts at 9pm and it will be 21+. You know you wanna go people.

You Wanna Read It: 1/7/2008

So we're one week into 2008 and things are starting to come back to reality after the holiday craziness! Good thing too because Camp Maldroid has BIG things in store for y'all in this new year! Allow us to share but a tiny tidbit of what's on our plate in hopes of whetting your voracious appetites in the days to come!

We are slated for at least TWO new releases EARLY this year! Look for another record similar to "Oakland Lads Club" (2 songs, 2 remixes, videos, audio stems etc.) to drop late Jan/early Feb and a FULL LENGTH to follow shortly thereafter! We are so excited about this and hope y'all are too. It's been a long time in the making but will be well worth the wait (we even brought a pro tools rig up to the mountains and worked on some tracks at 8000 ft. on our New Years vacation)!

January and February are packed with Bay Area shows! Check the calendar for dates! Next one is this Thursday with The Lovemakers and Panda at Cafe Du Nord! It doesn't get much better than that! We also have shows booked at Fat City, the SF Indie Film Fest at Rickshaw Stop and an underground party with a secret hotline! No joke!

Bummed that you don't live in the Yay? Yeah, we're bummed for you too. But, rumors are flying about possible Spring '08 tours! Could it be true? Remember us, Austin TX?

Happy New Year Everybody and welcome to the first "You Wanna Read It" of 2008. Looking back we have accomplished a lot in one year. From appearing on Good Morning America to gracing the stage at Live 105's "Not So Silent Night" Maldroid has come a long way. None of this would be possible without you people supporting and cheering us along the way. It also doesn't hurt that we possess boyish charm and unmatched fashion sense. With that being said we look forward towards another year of history making rock and roll.

This Saturday, December 22nd we find ourselves returning to the legendary Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma. Rounding out the line-up will be By His Stripes, Good City Lie Still(featuring our pal Andy from the Blast Bandits), The Grand Color Crayon, and Indian Valley Line. The show starts at 8pm sharp and will be $7. All Phoenix shows are all ages!!!!

You Wanna Read It: NSSN Recap Edition

Where to start, where to start! As you know this past Friday we took the stage at the annual Live 105 "Not So Silent Night" Show. Well, all we can say was the experience was amazing! However, before we give you the 411 on this history making show, we would first like to address a "situation" that occured on Friday morning.

To our surprise, Woody, the morning show host on LIVE 105 bashed Maldroid during his show. Why you may ask? Well, Woody wanted to drag our name through the mud because he thought we were prima donnas! Why? Well he thought we didn't deserve the right to have a rider (a list of backstage demands). However, one thing that Woody the Love Sponge forgot to mention was that LIVE 105 asked us to provide a rider. In the music industry all bands should have a rider. However you only submit a rider when asked. We would never make backstage demands when a rider is not requested. That's what is referred to as a "dickmove". We may be many things but prima donnas are not one of them. Just to show we do not hide the truth, here is the rider we send to all venues that request them (mind you Slim's, Mezzanine, Sac State etc..have all complied with these items and we have never heard a complaint before).

-One bag of Tortilla Chips
-One container of Salsa
-One container of Guacamole
-1 Deli Tray for 8
-1 750ML bottle of Jim Beam
-1 24 pack of Bud Light
-10 Towels
-12 chilled Diet Cokes
-1 bag of Reese's Pieces
-Assorted seasonal fruits

That's It!!! Now mind you we do not expect this from any venue nor do we send it to any venue unless we are asked to submit one. Even then we don't EXPECT EVERYTHING OR ANYTHING!!! It's merely a wish list for those who inquire!!!

Well this opened the flood gates for people to attack the band!!! All of a sudden everyone and their mom (literally) called in chiming in that Maldroid were a bunch of ungrateful assholes!!! Now to all you haters please step back and realize something. What's that? Y'all can SUCK IT!!! First off Maldroid owes a large chunk of their success to everyone at LIVE 105! We love the station and everyone who works for them! If it was not for Madden, Aaron Axelsen and Surfer Spud, who knows where we would be. As kick ass as we may be it takes a lot of love from others to get where we are! We would never piss on anyone who has helped us out! We were merely doing what we were told to do.

Now on to one hater in particular. To the shock of everyone, a mother of one the bands we competed against at Cafe Du Nord (you know who you are) called in and really laid in to us. Now we won't name this band for two reasons although you can figure it out pretty easy because:

1) They don't deserve the press.

2) Its pretty fucking embarassing to have your mom call in a popular radio show
and defend your band!!!

Now her main complaint was that her son's band deserved to play the NSSN show and Maldroid did not. Why? Well she said her son has been playing music since 2003 and have toured. Um, so what. We have been playing music in various bands since 1995!!! We have toured the world. We have been punched! We have bled! We have driven thousands of miles to shows that are canceled. We have slept on cold floors! We have lost girlfriends! We have been booed off stages! We have been through it all and have stood up and formed into the band we are today! So please bitch, step back and shut the fuck up. Your boy's band doesn't deserve shit yet compared to us or any of the other deserving bands in the competition. Tell your son's they are lucky they got that far (PANDA DESERVED YOUR SPOT Y'ALL. THAT'S THE TRUTH AND THE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!) and were allowed to play with us. Now on to
more important things:

NOT SO SILENT NIGHT RULED!!!! We played a tight 6 song set that really got the crowd moving. The overall feedback from the show has been very positive. New Maldroid fans were created that night. The entire crew working the concert were amazing people. All the bands that night brought their 'A game' as expected. Paramore were the most popular of the night (not a fan of the music but nice people). Every 3rd person had a Paramore shirt on. Amazing! The band of the night was Spoon although we felt the kids didn't get them. Again, remember very pro-Paramore crowd so that can be expected. Angels and Airwaves although entertaining seemed off. Perhaps the drinks guys? Jimmy Eat World blasted through a very tight set of new material and old crowd favorites. Finally Modest Mouse were simply amazing with a very musical set. They had an accordian for crying out loud! Overall a great night of music for everyone!!!

Our next show will be a headlining gig at the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma on Sat. Dec 22nd with Good City Lie Still, By His Stripes, The Grand Color Crayon, and Indian Valley Line. Make sure to make it out to this gig as it marks our return to the Phoenix after a very successful gig with the P-Nauts a couple months ago.

Finally we would like to mention that after countless requests, a tour is being put together. We feel that the people we are (potentially) going on tour with fit us quite well!!! More details will given as they become available.

In other news we had a great show at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco this past Saturday night! We shared the stage with Astral and The Frail. Thanks guys for coming out and rocking the house. This past show was extra special because it was the first full set played by our new drummer Hugo. The reviews are in and.....HUGO KICKED ASS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS! This guy has worked his ass off to learn the material and has done an excellent job doing so!

Well as you can see no shows!!! Dont fret my pets. Shows are being booked as we speak with such acts as The Lovemakers, Panda, and The Phenomenauts in the horizon. Also there is a big show in december at Slim's that may see a certain band rock the stage. Well have a great turkey day and make sure to drive safe. There are a lot of drivers drunk off of spiked eggnog, pumpkin beer and tryptophan(you know the stuff in turkey that makes us want to go sweepies). Anywhoo goodnight everybody!!!
