Hey everyone! Lets get down to business!!! We have just debuted a brand spanking new music video for "Children Of The Future"!!! Thats right people, a new video has come down from the heavens and we think it may be our best one yet! Let us know what you think and contact YouTube to feature this sucker.
In other news make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for new shows. You never know where we may be playing. Special thanks go to Ireland's 32. It was a shame we had to rock such a fine place to its very foundations. Extra special thanks go TAVIK (www.tavik.com) for the free schwag and good time! TAVIK is now an official sponsor of Maldroid.
And in previous news, you may or may not have seen the bulletins KosmoBot has incessantly been sending out regarding Rock The Vote.
Our position is that we would like to help get as many non-registered folks out there get registered and get involved as this November brings possibly the most important General Election in our lifetimes!
With that said, we would like to enlist your help. Not only is this a just and noble cause, it could also be the reason Maldroid gets to grace the stage at the Rock The Vote Ballot Bash.
We just found out that we are tied at #1 in the nation for most registered voters and the winner gets to play the Ballot Bash in Denver! Let's not lose this momentum!
What can you do?
First, if YOU are 18+, a US citizen and not registered to vote, do it TODAY by clicking the banner.
Second, copy our banner code and paste it anywhere and everywhere and spread the word! That's it!
The contest ends August 15th so let's rock!

Ye Olde Record Release Party (we are crossing our fingers they will be delivered by then) will be this Friday, April 4th at our gin joint away from home, The Stork Club, in Oakland. We will be playing along with the kings of indie-funk-grease bay-dance, Wallpaper. Spinning some classic jams will be Maldroid’s own Prince J. This show will be packed because not only is it our record release party and great bands/DJs are playing but it’s also First Friday and FREE!!! And, let’s not forget the drinks are the cheapest in town!!!
Speaking of Prince J, be sure to check out his new blog series "Prince J’s Per Diem" and drop him a line.
A big THANK YOU goes out to The Phenomenauts for not only taking us out on our first tour (more dates to be announced soon, we promise!) but for having us play their SOLD OUT CD release party at Slim’s last Saturday! Talk about an ass kicking good time! Each band played their hearts out. The Phenomenauts had an intro that may never be topped! The Lovemakers were their sexy and sweaty selves! King Kukulele managed to warm up even the coldest heart and Vic Ruggiero from the Slackers managed to surprise the crowd with an unannounced, last minute solo set! Overall an amazing time!!!

AND, two years ago this month, Maldroid was just a newborn baby...

The following week you will see us return to Slim's (3/29) to support our tour mates, The Phenomenauts, as they release their brand new release "For All Mankind" along with The Lovemakers and King Kukulele.
Finally, our goodbye show (we will be gone for 6 weeks on tour y'all) will be at our home, the Stork Club, in Oakland (4/4). Plus, its First Friday so get there before the bar runs out! Make sure to come out and support us as we embark on our nationwide take over!

As you can see, we don't have any shows for a couple weeks. However, don't think we aren't busting our finely dressed asses, cause we are!!! The full length is mixed and mastered. The artwork has been completed. The i's have been dotted and the t's crossed. The bad mama jamma is being printed up as we speak!!!!! April 15th, people. The wait is over. Rock and Roll will be changed forever!!!!
Here's a news brief on the subject...
2 big shows loom on the horizon. On March 22nd, at Betty's (Walnut Creek) we will be playing with our homies Scissors for Lefty and Hot Tub!!! Get there early as this show will be packed.
Then comes the big one!!! March 29th sees us grace the stage at The Phenomenauts CD Release at Slim's along with The Lovemakers and King Kukulele!!! We ain't fronting when we say this mother will sell out! Pre-sales are high and you best believe this place will explode with good times. Get your tickets before its too late!!!
In the very near future expect to see the entire tour schedule up. We have a very good idea where we are headed but we want to announce all the dates at once. The suspense mounts!!!!!!
